Open Gardens 2019
The 2019 Aylsham Open Gardens event was a huge success with over 850 visitors and beautiful weather during the weekend. Many thanks go to all the garden owners and volunteers who made this such a wonderful experience.
Organised by Aylsham in Bloom, the ticket money goes to support Bloom's activities around the town.
With various gardeners supporting their own charities through sales of food, drink, icecream, art, bric a brac, the following charities also benefitted:
Aylsham Community Gym over £700
Norfolk Heart Trust over £600
Action for Children £440
Aylsham Methodist Church £208
Aylsham Twinning Association £200
Aylsham Care Trust over £200
Fantastic design, inventiveness, plantsmanship, humour and artistic skills were on show in all the gardens.
The photos illustrate the huge range of ideas used to create the gardens open this weekend. The people who have designed them, such as Chris's wife Janet, may not still be with us, but the love that went into them shines on.
