AYLSHAM IN BLOOM

Aylsham

The Market town of Aylsham sits on the River Bure in North Norfolk. Its charm is in the beautiful architecture, strong sense of heritage, bustling town centre and real community ethos.

The Market Place and surrounding area is dominated by the tower of the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels. The north transept was built under the patronage of John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, around 1380. The town sign depicts John of Gaunt. Humphry Repton, the 18th century landscape designer, is buried in St Michael's churchyard.
